These undergraduate degrees are available entirely by online education:

While the following faculties do not offer degree programs by online education, they do offer courses in the subject areas as noted:

  • Applied Health Sciences: Applied Health Sciences, Gerontology, Public Health Sciences, Recreation and Leisure Studies
  • Engineering: Management Sciences
  • Environment: Environment and Business
  • Mathematics: Computer Science, Mathematics
(Note: For degree requirements, students registered in the Bachelor of Math General degree should refer to the Undergraduate Calendar for the year in which they were admitted.)

Note: The Centre for Extended Learning offers many online courses, but as term offerings vary, students may wish to complete some degree requirements through classroom or online courses from other recognized universities and transfer the credit to Waterloo. Students may also wish to explore other subject areas not currently available via the Centre for Extended Learning. Taking courses as a visiting student at another university is called being a "Letter of Permission" student. A Letter of Permission form must be approved by the faculty prior to attendance.

Students should review their faculty's regulations in the Undergraduate Calendar on transfer credit and contact their academic advisor prior to sending the Letter of Permission form to the Registrar's Office.
