Get Ready for your Spring 2017 Online Course(s)

To make sure you are prepared please review the following:

1. Access to your course

You will have access to your course(s) in LEARN, Waterloo's Learning Management System, on the first day of the term, May 1, 2017. Make sure you review the important dates on the Quest website to be sure you meet all your deadlines.

2. Confirm your final examination arrangements

Students taking only online courses

If you live within 100 km of an examination centre, you must select that centre in Quest by May 14. Otherwise you will need to find a proctor. Your proctor's information should be submitted by June 13. You need to do this every term you are taking only online courses.

Students taking both on-campus and online courses

You will automatically be scheduled to write your final exams in Waterloo.

The exam schedule will be posted on June 7, you can make changes to your examination centre from June 7 - June 19. In July you should login to Quest to see your seat and room assignment.

3. Get your textbooks

Visit MyBookLook on the Waterloo BookStore website to see which textbooks you need. You can also email or call them at 519-888-4673 (1-866-330-7933 toll-free within Canada).

4. Confirm your contact information is correct

The University communicates with you via the information on your file in Quest. All email is sent to your official uWaterloo email address.

Keep your contact information, including email address, mailing address, and phone number up to date, even on a co-op term. This information is also used to determine where you will write your final examination.

You should review the University's Statement on offical student email address.

5. Review system requirements

Check your system and software requirements to ensure you'll be able to access your online course in Waterloo LEARN. Internet access is required for all online courses.

6. Review the administrative details

Review all the details for current students - things such as student supports, exam details, WatCards, fee payment, final grades, important dates, and how to use Quest.
